I would have no problem using the Rampage III Black Edition, it uses the same Marvell 9128 controller. However, Rampage III Black Edition lists Marvell Controller Driver V1. Unfortunately, Marvell doesn't list the driver for download. Your R3E uses Marvel 9128 (88SE9128 (PCIe ×1 to 2 SATA 6 Gb/s ports RAID controller)).
